Shipping Rates

Two shipping methods in use.

The website makes calls to UPS for shipping prices.  If you add a product to the cart you can then go to the checkout and get a shipping estimate before signing up.  We have tried to get  the on line shipping rates to match closely to the shipping chart below.  For practical purposes when calling on the phone we use the chart so prices may vary between the two methods.

Notes:

• To calculate steel and crown molding rail multiply length of rail by 2 for pipe style, 3 for wall rail, 6 for EZ rail, 5 for EZrail with Base Plate.
  To calculate aluminum rail multiply length by 1 for pipe rail, 2 for wall rail, 3 for EZ rail, and 3 for EZ rail w/ Base Plate. Example 5 foot Aluminum EZ rail with Base Plate shipped to 33827 (5 x 3 = 15) cost = $35
• We can discount shipping for railing under 59 inches if you call in. Most of our railings receive an over size charge for being 60 inches or more in length.
• Included in our shipping costs are the prices we pay for boxes and other shipping materials as well as labor charges for time it takes to package each item.
• Our goal with shipping rates is to pass along shipping charges in a fair and consistent manner. Our shipping charges are not built into the cost of our railing. Locals often pick up rail orders from our shop at no shipping charges. Otherwise rates are based upon the following chart. There are some built in exceptions based on codes in Alaska and Hawaii that are not reflected in this chart but which are charged differently on the website. We currently don’t ship out of the US.
• Often our shipping prices are comparable to quotes you would get online from UPS. This is due to our volume shipping discounts. Even after we add our shipping and handling charges we have comparable shipping prices.
